Criteria

We support, encourage, and hold accountable actively serving members of low income churches by supporting their own efforts to turn over a new leaf in their lives. Before we ever meet with a family they must meet the criteria set forth by our partnering churches. That criteria is found below.

1. Must be a member in good standing of the church for six months.

2. Must attend church and Bible study on a regular basis for at least six months.

3. Must currently participate in at least one church ministry. Must have participated for at least six months. Written recommendation from Ministry Leader required.

4. Must be working for at least six months. Must show proof of income. If not working, must provide documentation regarding search for work. If unable to work, must provide documentation.

5. Must manage household well (provide for children, pay bills, no known abuse / neglect in home, no known drug use / selling by individual or individuals living in the home, etc.)

6. Must be willing to meet with a financial counselor / life group / mental health counselor / accountability partner, etc., if deemed necessary. Punctual attendance and full participation in these sessions is mandatory.

7. Must cooperate with all parties involved in the process, i.e., church, New Leaf Foundation, etc.

8. Must be tithing.
