Welcome to the New Leaf Foundation!
We are a non-profit organization started by a then 16 year old girl from Charlotte, NC named Laura Gennings. Her heart to serve God's children drove her to do something about all the wrong she saw in the world.
Our life’s mission is to provide relief and a new way of life to
those struggling in inner city Charlotte. Here at the Foundation, we
work with families of low-income status to meet their basic needs,
supply them with financial assistance, and present them with
financial counseling. Rather than feeding their immediate needs
without structure or guidance, we are engaging in their lives with
careful counsel so as to make our provisions for them a stepping
stone to a better, more fruitful life. We are essentially helping
them to turn a new leaf and start over.

What's New???

- We can now accept online donations! Just go to our Donations page and you can use your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or PayPal account to help support our families in need!
- The 10th Annual Adopt a Child for Christmas program was a huge success!!! Thank you for making the lives of these children a little brighter. There's not enough darkness in the whole world to dim the light of one small candle. And you have helped to provide light and hope to these beautiful kids. Go to our Photo page and check out the light in their eyes!!!
- Want to know what God's word says about your finances? Check out the video on our Resources page.
- We trained one of our new family members on how to get a job in a down economy. She followed our plan exactly and received 3 job offers. She took 2 of them and will now earn enough money to support her and her 4 grandchildren that live with her!!!
- To our donors...we have listed on the website the criteria used before we ever agree to even meet with a family. You should be aware of these requirements. You can see them on our Criteria page.
- Thank you!!! We have been able to help several families from being evicted and on the streets this year!
- We have a new strategic partnership with another local non-profit organization called The Bin. They provide home goods and appliances for families that need a helping hand. We are now one of five referral agencies for them. They have already helped to provide furniture for 7 of our families!
