Lattes & Lyrics was a HUGE success! We had lots of fun, met some great people, created awareness of what's happening in the inner-city, and raised $2800 to help our families. To Christ be the glory!!! You can click on the pictures to see a larger size.

In August of 2007 we were notified of a mother with 3 children that had no electricity. IMMEDIATELY Laura knocked on neighbors doors until she had collected the $200 necessary for Duke Energy to turn their electricity on. This picture was taken as we were driving to deliver the $200 to our first family.
Our first fundraiser was the Ballantyne Village Pass. This is a coupon book with a value of over $500 and costs only $15. All profits benefit the New Leaf Foundation. We first started selling the Village Pass at the Mix at Six at Ballantyne Village. The following photographs were taken during a couple of the events in October (including Halloween - can you guess which pics?).

There is new bank in Charlotte called Carolina Premier Bank. A group of employees and board members adopted several of our families this past Christmas. Their monetary donations and other gifts made a dramatic difference in what was accomplished. Below are a couple of pictures taken at the bank.
Some of the toys that they donated were given directly to families, while others were used in our Incentive Room. In fact, the red & yellow truck underneath the sign in the picture below left can be seen being selected by a young lady in the next picture group. It's a GREAT story! Check it out on the Stories page.

Below are a couple of pictures from the Christmas party we threw for the families of A Better World. The child on the left gave up all of her incentive points she had earned throughout the year to get one Christmas card for her mother. The young lady on the right used all of her incentive points to buy children's toys that she later gave away to the younger kids in attendance. Go to the Stories page to read about what happened. If you want to see all the pictures, we've uploaded them to Snapfish here.
